Special guest at the Fondation Beyeler: Elizabeth Peyton!

Several of her works are currently on display as part of the “CLOSE-UP” exhibition. In the interview, she speaks about the fascination of the portrait and the exhibition.

CLOSE-UP centers around nine artists, united in their emphasis on the depiction of the human figure: on the portrait, in widely differing forms, and the self-portrait: Berthe Morisot, Mary Cassatt, Paula Modersohn-Becker, Lotte Laserstein, Frida Kahlo, Alice Neel, Marlene Dumas, Cindy Sherman, Elizabeth Peyton.

The exhibition is on display until January 2, 2022.

Ein besonderer Gast in der Fondation Beyeler: Elizabeth Peyton!

Einige ihrer Werke sind derzeit im Rahmen der Ausstellung "CLOSE-UP" zu sehen. Im Interview spricht sie über die Faszination des Porträts und über die Ausstellung.

"CLOSE-UP" ist noch bis zum 2. Januar 2022 zu sehen.

Im Mittelpunkt von CLOSE-UP stehen neun Künstlerinnen und Künstler, die sich mit der Darstellung der menschlichen Figur beschäftigen: mit dem Porträt in ganz unterschiedlichen Formen und dem Selbstporträt: Berthe Morisot, Mary Cassatt, Paula Modersohn-Becker, Lotte Laserstein, Frida Kahlo, Alice Neel, Marlene Dumas, Cindy Sherman, Elizabeth Peyton.
