The 2021 Jeep Grand Cherokee L is the first of 5 generations of Grand Cherokees to offer a third row seat. This segment is the ultimate replacement for a minivan. The luxury features are plentiful, as the Grand Cherokee nameplate finally boasts an interior that rivals German brands such as BMW, Mercedes Benz, and Audi. Although the Grand Cherokee L has a totally redesigned exterior and interior, the current/previous Grand Cherokee is still available for purchase. The L represents the third row, which is only available in this version.

Which is the best Mid Size Luxury SUV? That depends on how you will use it. The Grand Cherokee always aimed at the utilitarian daily driver that requires serious off-road capabilities. There has always been less focus on Luxury in the Grand Cherokee, compared to its German rivals. Not anymore.

With an optional three separate 10” digital screens (main infotainment, gauge cluster, and heads up display), this is as modern as it gets. The 5th generation UConnect system works flawlessly. Extremely responsive with super smooth movement. An entirely roomy interior does not only apply to the driver and front passenger, but also the second row Captain Chairs as well. Heated and cooled seats are available to both first and second row passengers. The third row is still plenty roomy (although realistically, should not be used by full size adults for long periods of time).
