Reports started rolling in a month ago of skin irritations appearing after wearing the Oculus Quest.

Oculus has now formally acknowledged higher traces of chemicals used in the original manufacturing process of the foam interface are the cause.

They've fixed current production models and if you own a later one - Even if you've NEVER experienced skin irritation...

They'll now ship you a free VR Cover, no proof needed or strings attached.

Eligible serial numbers will have both of the following:

- First 5 characters are ‘1WMVR’ or ‘1WMHH’

- The fourth from the last character is ‘0’ (zero)

To find your Quest 2 serial numbers:

Headset: On the right side of your headset, gently pull the strap back away from the strap arm until it pops off. Your headset serial number will be on the inside of the strap arm.

Box/packaging: On the outside of your Oculus Quest 2 box, look for a white sticker marked with a barcode. Under the barcode, find S/N followed by the 14-digit serial number.
