The 2024 edition of the McSweeney Films channel trailer/showreel is here. Every year we make one of these to showcase everything we’ve done in the past year and also to get ourselves hyped for the upcoming year.

This one felt particularly special to make because 2023 was a really huge year for us. We got to do so many cool things last year. We released 6 short films, 1 feature film and 13 sketches which might be our most productive year to date. It was so great that we got to work with some of our friends on a lot of those projects.

We also became committee members of The People’s Picturehouse back in August. An incredible monthly short film showcase that does an incredible job of highlighting the variety and creativity of the filmmaking scene in Cork. We've since screened three films at the Picturehouse and it's always such a lovely, supportive environment for filmmakers of all levels.

We then capped off the year by screening Waiting for You at the IndieCork Film Festival. It was our first ever festival selection which was a really proud moment to end the year on. It was also really nice to reach 500 subscribers recently which was another goal we set for ourselves at the start of the year. Thanks so much for your support and for putting up with us for another year. We're excited to make more stuff in 2024!
