Originally, there was no light or outlet in the attic, but because we've been doing so many renovations with this house, we added an outlet so we could leave an extension cord up there for work AND plug in a lamp for lighting. However, one light wasn't enough and we wanted a more permanent setup, without losing the benefit of an outlet. This video covers how I added a new double box, transferred the outlet, added a switch for our new lighting, and added additional lighting to the attic space.
