Utopia hosted a virtual event on the future of Kathmandu.

ABOUT

On 18 March, Utopia announced a new CITYLAB space as the home for urban innovation in Kathmandu. The urban innovation lab will bring together the next generation of urban entrepreneurs who are helping define the future of the city. The CITYLAB is part of a growing global network of labs Utopia is creating for emerging cities across Asia, Africa, and Latin America.

COVID-19 is restructuring the world. Once the dust settles, we’ll need urban solutions that can make cities better for the many, not just the few. We are a platform that fosters the community of innovators, futurists and urbanists who are building solutions to the most pressing challenges our cities face.

What role could urban entrepreneurs play in shaping the future of the city? What does post-COVID Kathmandu look like? How is this impacting informal slums in Kathmandu? What can we all do? Join us for this discussion about the future possibilities for the city.
