Uncovered Gems Episode 1 - "It's Gonna Get Ya"

In this new series I thought it would be fun to release some clips and snippets of songs that I've written over the years that haven't been heard before.
Episode 1 begins with "It's Gonna Get Ya" from 2004, and the story of how this fun song almost became a part of the Scooby Doo 2 - Monsters Unleashed Soundtrack.

Written in less than an hour and produced in a day by co-writer and hit producer Graham Stack at Metrophonic Studios.
The song was given the green light by the films music supervisor, and it received the thumbs up from the Director and was even placed into the scene before eventually being replaced.
Such is often the case in the music and entertainment industry, and it was one of the first times I learned that nothing is guaranteed, right up until the last moment.

Disappointing that it didn't make it into the movie, but it's fun to think about what could've been.
