The goods movement industry has seen a recent rise in prominence during the pandemic. And while the benefits of getting goods delivered to your door has allowed the economy to continue along, there is a dark side of pollution in communities around pollution-heavy ports, rail, and trucking corridors. In California, where the Ports of Long Beach and Los Angeles are receiving record traffic, residents breathe some of the dirtiest air in the nation. Earthjustice — along with our partners — is fighting for zero-emissions policies and technologies that do not produce air pollutants that damage our health or disrupt our climate.

With our Right to Zero campaign, Earthjustice is setting our sights and standards high to drive a massive shift in the way we use energy and transport goods, services, and ourselves. Our featured experts will share their insights on the issues around pollution and goods movement, and the solutions they’re pursuing for the health, safety, and well-being of the communities they call home.
