The top half of Shepherds is a flow trail with the bottom half becoming more technical with Rock Gardens and off camber sections but the speed you carry from the top lets you plow over all the terrain. It's super fast fun! Shuttling would be my only advise as the climb is taxing and you could pack the day with run after run. An eBike would be another option. The trails is double diamond but I'm not overly skilled and the B lines don't effect the enjoyment of the trail. Also varying your speed changes the difficulty of the trail as my girls rode it too! But don't get me wrong there is some rather challenging sections. Fat Old & Bald's aim is to showcase Mountain Biking as an enjoyable sport that all can enjoy no matter your skill level.
