Awesome day on the rubicon trail, Mother's day weekend, Spring 2021. How to make a full-day trip on the rubicon trail when you only have 1 day to do it. We have been doing the rubicon trail for over 25 years now and it never gets old. The Rubicon trail is on many off-roader's bucket lists. You can hit tons of obstacles in a day. Soup bowl, Soup Kitchen, Little Sluice, and Spider lake. We spent some time at the soup bowl and little sluice.

We went with a group of rigs in early May. There was little water on the trail with just patches of snow. The weather was warm and sunny but don't forget it can change quickly in the sierras. Always take extra food and something to sleep in case you get stuck on the trail for a night.
