In this video I do my best to describe what bitcoin is and how it works. The inner workings of bitcoin are actually much more complex than what I describe but this should at least get you on the right path if you decide to investigate cryptocurrency further. Bitcoin is revolutionary. It is unlike anything else on the planet because it is global, decentralized, trustless, censorship resistant, available to anyone with a smartphone and internet connection (blockstream even has satellite connectivity). Everything about this currency is designed to give the power of money back to the people. If you don't understand why that is important, I suggest researching HOW our banking system works today. For further research of bitcoin I recommend Andreas Antonopoulos as the number one instructor in the bitcoin world. His youtube channel is aantonop and I can assure you that he is way better at articulating the complicated stuff than I am!
