As he stared at the end of his life when diagnosed with cancer, Jonathan was hit with the fact he was not the man he thought he was - He had become the kind of man he would not want to be near. And he also tells a bigger story about how the disease launched him on a pilgrimage to become a better man. He uses his gifts, as a raconteur to show how some of the answers about how to survive his cancer were revealed in his quest for redemption.
