The science that proves that we are all life long learners. Alan Castel is a Professor in the Department of Psychology at the University of California, Los Angeles. He studies memory and aging and the degree to which people are aware of their memory ability (a form of metamemory). He is particularly interested in how younger and older adults can selectively remember important information and errorful learning. His work has been featured in the New York Times and Time Magazine.
