2007 Mercedes AMG R63 cold start and spirited driving. Last part of the video is a walk-around.

About the car:
Original owners purchased this 2007 Mercedes AMG R63 new at Penske Mercedes in Southern California. Met or exceeded all required MB services during their ownership. Detailed weekly. It was the wife’s car and was used sparingly - mainly for trips to Palm Springs. Perfect Carfax with all original paint. Purchased from the original CA owner on BaT 4/2018. Have all service records since day one.

I purchased the vehicle from the original CA owner on BaT 4/2018. Have all service records since day one. It was stock and original with the exception of normal maintenance items. From there I had a goal of creating the worlds fastest street legal mini-van. Modifications are as follows:

1. Weistec stage 2+
2. Supercharger
3. ARP head bolts
4. SLS valve lifter buckets
5. ROW air box
6. Weistec One-off extra large intercooler
7. Weistec Long tube headers
8. Weistec fabricated complete new stainless exhaust system from cats back with resonator delete. Retained stock mufflers and tailpipes.
9. Weistec ECU tune for motor and trans
10. OPTIMA H6 battery

All work performed by Weistec at their Anaheim facility. CARB legal and passes CA smog with ease. However, WOT near any cop will probably produce a ticket for loud exhaust - especially in CA. Drive mellow and it is no louder than stock. I have been driving this car in and around Newport Beach for over a year without any issues.

During inspection of the original motor internals, there was absolutely no evidence of head gasket failure or stretching head studs. In addition, there was no evidence of the factory original valve lifter buckets having any issues. It was amazing how nice this motor is. Say what you will about the head stud issues but I will bet this will be one of the most desirable and sought after power plants Mercedes/AMG ever built.

Other Performance mods:
1. Brembo racing brake system specifically designed for ML/R platform nickel coated billet 6 piston calipers and 16 inch 2 piece rotors.
2. 2 piece billet aluminum one-off 21 inch mono block wheels with Michelin sport tires
3. Lowering module with controls through the factory DIC buttons on the steering wheel
4. Factory OEM rear fender lip flares painted to match and installed.

Estimated horsepower is 700+. I have the car scheduled to run the 1/2 mile and 1 mile summer 2020….
