In January, Mayor Andre Dickens announced that 2023 is Atlanta's Year of the Youth. This new initiative seeks to equip all of Atlanta's young people – from birth to 24 years of age – with the tools needed for success.

The ATL Year of the Youth prioritizes eliminating barriers and amplifies programs and services available across the City of Atlanta. The City will collaborate with stakeholders specializing in youth development and education, through innovative programs to expand services to children, youth and young adults. Year of the Youth activities will serve to create opportunities for qualitative, service-oriented initiatives and increase financial investments for the city’s diverse youth communities.
