While at the Louisville Visitors Center I found these little chocolate treats called Bourbon Barrels or Bourbon Balls (depending on where you go). They are these delicious little balls of chocolate, sugar, bourbon, and pecans.

The Bourbon is very strong and the chocolate itself is very rich.

When asking around about where to try other forms of Bourbon Balls/Barrels it seems as if these treats were a Kentucky Delicacy.

It made me even wonder to myself, have you even visited Kentucky if you didn’t try these? So I did, and a few other varieties as well!
