Is BMW 9 Series On Production Line, What Is The Horsepower Of This Car And More In This Video.

The BMW series lineup is quite expansive, starting with the first-ever BMW 1 Series through the newly built and improved BMW 8 Series. The automaker seems to bring a new release to the market when the BMW fans think the last they saw would be the best the company has to offer.

Adrian van Hooydonk, BMW’s design director, posited that a BMW 9 Series, four-door coupe that will stand as a rival to the Mercedes-Maybach S600 might likely be part of the brands the automaker intends to release into the high-end automobile luxury market.

Hooydonk responded in an interview concerning BMW’s plan to build a 9 Series as follows, “Let’s say this: we won’t stop here (with the 8 Series). Obviously our job is to have more ideas than the company can build, because the other way round would be very bad.”

Hooydonk further created anxiety in the minds of BMW fans when he said, “My team and I are now looking at 2021 and beyond – as far out as 2030. We have a lot of plans.”

Now, speculations have continued to rock the automotive industry about BMW’s plan to launch a 9 Series. The tentative BMW 9 Series design is said to be allegedly inspired by the awesome Vision Future Luxury Concept.

The BMW 9 Series is said to come with a bulk of some borrowed features from mechanical components of the BMW 7 Series. In that case, buyers would be allowed to choose between a diesel-powered unit, gasoline-burning mill, and two 3.0-liter straight-six engines.

Further looking into the speculations of the 9 Series, rumor says the so-called “Super car” would be furnished with about 700 horsepower (521 Kilowatts) and would be slotted above the BMW M8. That means it would be a replacement for the recent BMW i8, with a hybrid.

Final Words

Irrespective of the loud speculations around the plan for BMW to build a 9 Series, there are also arguments that an executive had confirmed that BMW won’t build a 9 Series. Klaus Frohlich, BMW’s research and development boss, noted, “I don’t think you need a 9 Series.”

So, at this point, fans and lovers of the BMW brand may have to keep their fingers crossed to allow time to reveal what the automaker’s plan is for the BMW 9 Series. However, it would be an invention “outside the box” if the 9 Series eventually comes to pass.
