BYD's eagerness to unveil the Yangwang U7 stems from the remarkable success of its predecessors – the U8 (priced around USD152,000) and U9 (approx. USD233,000) models. The U8 achieved 5,000 deliveries in just 132 days post-launch, while the U9 garnered 13,000 orders within 10 days, generating sales worth 21.8 billion RMB, equivalent to about USD4.34 billion.
