Amazon recently had a hardware event and it was very clear that they are taking aim at Google Nest and Fitbit while deepening their integration into your home, security and health and wellbeing.

From new robot pets with Alexa built in to fitness bands to compete with Fitbit there was something on show for everyone but also some very obvious trends emerging from Amazons connection to food and health products to their increased focus on younger markets.
