Roy Hennessy and Fred Latrimo were popular deejays at CKLG in Vancouver, BC. CKLG's signal from Canada boomed into the near the border town of Bellingham, WA. Maybe the first song parody I ever heard, at least one created by local disc jockeys, was Hennessey and Latrimo's 1967 spoof of The Rolling Stones' "Ruby Tuesday." In this archival cut, CKLG's disc jockey Daryl B played the song on his air-shift. As I post this in 2021, both Fred Latrimo and Daryl B have passed away.
