The Brewster Buffalo cops a lot of flak as being one of the worst planes of World War 2. But it was more a victim of mismanagement, poor timing, and an obsession over equipment-creep.

Also, the little bit about Brewster hiring two convicted fraudsters to represent their sales department (who then oversold the companies capabilities) probably didn't help either...

Despite performing abysmally in the far east and Pacific theaters, being completely outclassed by Japanese Zeroes, the Buffalo made a much better name for itself in the hands of Finnish pilots who flew them against the Soviet Union. In fact, it managed a 32-1 KD ration, a truly monumental achievement for any aircraft in the war.
