TW: Harassment.

Our Ambassador Bintou’s family could not afford her tuition fees. As a result, she faced many obstacles and harassment. After graduation, she went on a mission to ensure that no other girl is discouraged from pursuing their education because of society or their financial situation.

She founded an NGO, Empowering Women in Africa (EWA), which has educated 56 girls, and this year, Bintou has expanded its scope to upskill women to compete with the workforce by providing training in technology and admin skills. She also founded Binnie’s English Training, which has trained over 700 people and helped fund EWA.

Watch the full speech to learn more about Bintou’s journey.
