It’s that time of year again, where a character compilation appears and goes through nearly all the characters appearing in Hong Kong Disneyland. As 2023 comes to an end, here are the characters at HKDL that appeared in 2023, the year of Disney’s 100th Anniversary.

As part of Disney100, Mickey & Friends wore special outfits to meet at the Annex on Main Street USA, sharing the spot with Oswald the Lucky Rabbit and Tinkerbell. World of Frozen opened as the first immersive experience of the popular franchise released a decade ago. The way characters appear has changed as they now roam around the land other than traditional meet and greet. This was partly due to that social distancing was no longer required, which also led to the return of the 10K Weekend Run event. Apart from that, Mulan finally arrived at Castle of Magical Dreams, completing the lineup of all 14 Princesses (and Queens). In addition, new Marvel Heroes appeared when new MCU movies were released.

To continue the Disney100 Celebration, this year's character list concludes with the "Dream Makers" Statue, which marks HKDL finally getting a Walt Disney Statue similar to other parks. While Walt Disney is NOT really a character, it is important to remember that non of the magic would be possible without Walt Disney himself, as well as the Disney cast members. A big thank you to all the characters and cast members for providing the magical experiences all these years. It has been a wondrous time with all our Disney Friends. Please note that not everyone appeared this year is in the video, as it is impossible to enter the park every single day. There may be a few that were captured only by photo but not video, so be sure to check out the channel’s Instagram (channelofmagicaldreams) to find them. A few Jungle friends were absent because Karibuni Marketplace seems to have fewer days with characters due to the seasonal events this year. It is also worth noting that this is the first time in many years that Hong Kong Disneyland would be open until midnight for countdown on New Year’s Eve. Since there is not enough time to add the characters appeared during NYE, those characters will not be included in the video.
