How do you film B-roll when you are all alone?
Well look no further, Frank is here with the answer and the Behind The Scenes as usual.
In today's video I filmed a short b roll of me making tea, and I also talk about the importance of b-roll and how best to apply it. You will learn what settings I use, how I made my thumbnail, and some general tips on how to improve your sound quality. I also use my iphone to film myself on some slow motion shots, but it is basically no difference between my camera and my iphone.
One thing that I feel is very important to film good b roll of yourself is to have a tripod. It is technically possible to use stools, tables etc, but it's a hassle. A tripod is stable, got good angles, and overall a great investment for your b roll. Especially if you film b roll of yourself on an iphone. I got a great tripod for my iphone for 10 american dollars. It works like a charm.
Anyway, thanks for watching this "b roll without friends", and good luck to you!
(also I have some friends, it was just a joke. But I'd love me some more friends.)
:)
Take care
Frank.
