Mako sharks are the fastest sharks in the world. They can be found in Cabo San Lucas, Baja California, Mexico.

Like most shark species, they are facing extinction. They are being killed for their soft meat that can be sometimes found in famous supermarkets while being mislabeled as tuna or other fish species. There's also a big proportion of bycatch in driftnet fisheries for other species.

In 2019, Mako sharks have been reclassified by IUCN from "vulnerable" to "endangered of extinction".

By consuming fish and other species coming from mass industry, you fuel the extinction of species such as Mako sharks.

It is not our right but our duty to protect the oceans and the creatures that live within these waters. Otherwise, humans will soon face extinction too...
