This was one of the best aviation experiences of my life: the once-in-a-lifetime opportunity to fly on a C-17 with the Aviation Explorers Post 352. It was about a 3 hour flight, much of it being along the coast. I was very surprised that they were able to do a tactical takeoff, descent, and landing for us. That's just something that you will not be able to be a part of very often.

They were also able to organize an air-to-air refueling during the flight. We were not in the cockpit when they were doing it, but we did get a nice view of the refueling plane above us!
