Ford Just Announced MASSIVE RECALL! (Check If Your Car Is Included)

We have bad news for ford lovers, well ford has been facing technical issues for quite some time now! Does “Ford has a better idea” to tackle this situation? What has been happening in the automobile industry is apparently not in the favor of ford. If you own a Ford vehicle, this video might help you with the problem you might have been facing! You're watching “TECH ADDICTS”, your only channel with transparent and authentic information, so let's get the video started!

Ford Motor Company announced recently that it will be recalling 462,000 vehicles across the globe due to the possibility of a video output failure, which would prohibit the image from the rearview camera from being displayed.

The carmaker from the United States stated that the recall affects certain models of the Lincoln Aviator, Explorer, and Lincoln Corsair from the years 2020-2023 that are fitted with 360-degree cameras. The number of affected vehicles in the United States is 382,000.

Ford has stated that it has received reports of 17 minor accidents and over 2,100 warranty claims related to the recall issue. However, there have been no complaints of injuries. The recall is an expansion and replacement of a previous recall in 2021 that involved 228,000 vehicles. The software for the image processing module will be updated by dealers, and even vehicles that have already had the software updated as part of the prior recall will require the current update.

Ford has stated that the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA) contacted the automaker in late 2021 and early 2022 about reports of a blue image in the rear camera display after the completion of the 2021 recall, which prompted the company to investigate. Ford said the reports prompted the investigation.

After Ford 2020 recalled 620,246 vehicles due to another issue with the back camera, the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration launched an investigation in August 2021. The investigation is looking at whether or not Ford recalled a sufficient number of vehicles and whether or not they recalled them promptly.

In recent years, Ford has issued additional recalls related to the rear camera, including the recalling of 47,000 vehicles in the United States model years 2021-2022 Bronco due to the possibility that the image from the rearview camera may continue to be displayed after a backing event has concluded, which may distract the driver.
In the past, Ford has also had problems with rearview cameras, let's talk about them in a bit of detail.

In 2007, Ford became the first automaker to offer rearview cameras as an optional accessory for select vehicles. During this period, technology for backup cameras was still in its infancy, and having one installed in a vehicle was regarded as a particularly opulent addition.

The use of backup cameras quickly gained favor among drivers, as these individuals want the additional sense of security that comes with being able to use both their rearview mirrors and a digital display to observe any potential obstructions that may be behind them.

The National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA) issued a regulation in 2014 requiring that all automobiles manufactured in the United States must be fitted with a standard rearview camera no later than May 1, 2018.

Today, rearview cameras are standard equipment on not just all Ford vehicles but also all automobiles manufactured in the United States after the deadline of May 2018, which was set in 2018. However, the specific components and amenities may be subject to change.

The majority of Ford automobiles have rearview cameras installed someplace close to the location where the license plate is displayed. The screen used for the rearview camera and the screen used for the vehicle's infotainment system is both located within the vehicle.
