WARNING - GRAPHIC PHOTO

Today was a long afternoon/evening. I was installing a solar panel and a light in the barn, and my wife came out to tinker around in the barn. I left to get another tool from the shop and heard yelling and screaming (and cussing) ...

She totally drilled it trying to step out of the barn doors. No steps nor ramp installed yet ... about a foot-and-a-half straight drop down. BAM!

I provided emergency care until EMS arrived. We spent some time in the hospital ER, and now she can't walk or drive for a while. Follow up visit with an orthopedic specialist soon.

She's in good spirits and has a great sense of humor about the whole mishap. I, on the other hand, do not ... now I finally gotta build the steps or ramp for the barn. Also, I'm now her butler and chauffer for some time. Thanks a lot, Darwin!

On an end note, Mrs. Smith tried to refuse going to the ER. 911 and the responding EMS crew were awesome! Took a minute, but awesome!
