The ZTL-11 is based on type 08 8x8 wheeled armored vehicles family. It is the export variant of the ST1 vehicle, which is already in service with the Chinese Marine Corps. It was first shown to the public in September 2015 during a military parade in Beijing to commemorate the end of the World War II in Asia. ZTL-11 is the second wheeled assault gun equipped China's army. ZBL-08 (The Type 08 ) is a family of eight-wheeled amphibious, modular armored vehicle developed by Norinco for infantry fire support, battlefield logistics and quick reaction operations. It is a recent People's Republic of China produced Infantry fighting vehicle for People's Liberation Army Ground Force and People's Liberation Army Marine Corps. ZBL-08 is the designation for Infantry Fighting variant in the Type 08 vehicle family. The modular design claims to be able to field variety of different models including an APC model, assault gun, an Engineering model, a 122 mm self propelled howitzer model, a 155 mm self propelled howitzer model, an air defense model, a self-propelled mortar model, a reconnaissance model, a command vehicle model and much more. ZBL-08 infantry fighting vehicle, the standard variant of Type 08 family, is equipped with ZPT-99 30mm autocannon and 7.62mm coaxial machine gun. Two HJ-73C ATGM rail launcher are mounted on both sides of the turret. The gunner is equipped with computerized fire control system, gun stabilization with automatic tracking, laser range finder, and thermal imagining device.

ZTL-11 — 105-мм машина огневой поддержки пехоты. Экспортный вариант — ST1 (ST1 имеет несколько модифицированный корпус и башню иной формы. Возможно, есть некоторые изменения в СУО). Начал поступать в войска в 2011 году. ZTL-11 базируется на ZBL-08, бронирование корпуса машины аналогичное. Вооружение истребителя танков представлено 105-мм пушкой, спаренным с ней 7,62-мм пулемётом, а также 12,7-мм крупнокалиберным пулемётом, установленным в качестве ЗПУ. Сама пушка является модернизированным вариантом нарезной L7. Эффективная дальность стрельбы пушки – 2000 метров. Дальность стрельбы ПТУР – 5000 метров. ZTL-11 оснащён компьютеризированной системой управления огнём. В состав прицельного комплекса входят прицел командира с лазерным дальномером, а также прицелом с пассивным ночным видением. Помимо этого, машина оснащена тепловизионной системой и GPS-навигацией.
Боевая машина пехоты ZBL-08— семейство колёсных боевых бронированных машин, разработанных и производимых китайской компанией NORINCO. Состоит на вооружении НОАК с 2009 года. Экспортная версия ББМ предлагается под названием VN1. Серийный вариант БМП ZBL-08 для НОАК оснащается вращающейся башней с 30-мм автоматической пушкой 2А72 и курсовым пулемётом калибра 7,62-мм. Пушка оснащена фермой, обеспечивающей жесткость пушки при стрельбе, что увеличивает точность. По бортам башни устанавливаются направляющие ПТРК HJ-73. На лобовом листе башни установлены два трёхствольных блока дымовых гранатомётов. Корпус БМП ZBL-08 имеет противопульную защиту, лобовая броня защищает от бронебойных пуль калибра 12,7-мм. Развивает до 100 км/ч на шоссе и способен форсировать водные преграды на плаву со скоростью до 8 км/ч с помощью двух винтов.
