FDNY On Scene Manhattan 6th Alarm Box 437 *66-66-0437* 48 E 7th St @ 2nd Ave. Heavy Fire Throughout a 5 Story Vacant with Extension to a Church in East Village NY. 12/5/20

New York City Fire Department Units Responded to the Corner of E 7th St and 2nd Ave Shortly Before 5am to Reports of a Structural Fire. On Arrival Members had a Fire on the 1st floor of a 5 Story Vacant Multiple Dwelling and the 10-75 (Working Fire Signal) was Transmitted. With Heavy Fire on Arrival, the 2nd Alarm was Transmitted with a 3rd Alarm being Transmitted as Fire was now Spreading onto the Roof of a Nearby Church. With Heavy Fire now Spreading to Multiple Exposures, a 4th Alarm was Transmitted with a 5th Alarm Transmitted Later On. By 8:40am All Visible Fire had been Knocked Down and with Members Still Hitting Pockets of Fire, a 6th Alarm Was Transmitted for Relief Purposes. The Fire was Placed Under Control Later in the day and the Cause of the Fire is Under Investigation.
