It's time for some serious winter testing here on TestDrive! We couldn't have asked for worse weather to test the all-new 2019 Subaru Forester Sport, with almost a foot of snow, no road salting, and next to no plowing, this compact crossover SUV has its work cut out for it.

Our full tour and review of the 2019 Subaru Forester Sport 2.5i focuses on living with this model in Canada. With a huge snowfall the day we picked this vehicle up, we knew we had to do some serious deep snow testing with Subaru's symmetrical All-Wheel Drive system and the dual X-Mode available on this Sport model. We go over everything you need to know if you need the ultimate winter warrior.

We go over all the features of the 2019 Forester Sport, including the standard LED headlights, vertical LED fog lights, blacked-out trim, orange sport trim, 18" rims with winter tires, keyless entry, power rear lift-gate, and the dark blue metallic paint. We jump inside where it's warm to talk about the 8" StarLink infotainment system with Apple CarPlay & Android Auto, SiriusXM Radio, and the optional 9-speaker Harmon/Kardon audio system.

The cloth seats and interior space is also scrutinized during our review, along with other features like heated front seats, large power sunroof, semi-LED interior lighting, USB charging and much more. We focus in on the features and tech that matter the most to buyers looking at compact crossovers and put them through some real-world testing. We talk about the EyeSight enhanced safety technology and what features you get with it, along with some added safety tech found on Subaru vehicles.

We then take the 2019 Subaru Forester on a road test in deep snow, harsh conditions, and foot-high snow mounds to see if it's AWD control system is capable of getting you out of sticky situations. We test out the dual X-Mode including snow and mud control, along with deep snow and heavy mud mode. We also talk about the ride and handling of this vehicle, and what kind of suspension and brakes are equipped.
