Why do little birds chase big birds? This is a behavior that we see all year but it is extra common during the nesting season. The smaller, more maneuverable birds can chase larger birds that they perceive as threats with little fear of getting caught. The behavior is known as mobbing and scientist feel is not very effective but little birds still do it.
