I love to work with and harvest spruce root! There's almost an endless amount of it in relatively small areas with spruce trees. It doesn't take long to get and it's one of natures super materials when making birchbark sheaths, stitching, winding, weaving etc.. and it's a great workout too.

I used 20-30 minutes digging and "solving puzzles".. they're really crisscrossing a lot, but that's just fun. I'm going to make some birchbark containers for a restaurant, and for the vases and bowls, I use the roots for the cracked/splitted ones.. It's a great way to use the Japanese 'Kintsugi'.
Or just for some basic bushcraft.

I'm also testing out my new GoPro9 with a 'Røde VideoMicro' and 'Saramonic Blink 500' Lavalier.
