Kayaking New Zealand's Doubtful Sound with Doubtful Sound Kayak was one of the most serene experiences of my life.

Doubtful Sound is Milford's quieter, less traveled, off-the-beaten-track sister fjord in Fjordland National Park. I had already done a day cruise in Milford Sound and so decided what better way to see Doubtful Sound than to spend a day kayaking through the cliffsides and getting an up-close view of the beauty in Doubtful Sound.

This was the absolute best way to see Doubtful Sound. Doubtful Sound Kayak takes you out to the fjords, supplies hot drinks and biscuits, and guides you through a 4-hour kayaking trip on the water. The entire excursion is about 11 hours long, from 6:30am to 5:30pm. It felt so much shorter. This was an unforgettable experience and I so highly recommend Doubtful Sound Kayak to anyone looking for a more peaceful Fjordland experience.

I decided to film this particular vlog without any talking, to try to best relay how serene the day felt. Hardly anyone spoke all day except for our guide, and we all spent the day in silent, reflective awe of the spectacular views around us. It was rejuvenating, guys. If you're ever in Te Anau without something to do, DO THIS.
