Episode 5 of Foundation’s second Season is an episode that is all about memories. The story is split between Trantor where Queen Sareth (Ella-Rae Smith) is trying to find proof that Brother Day (Lee Pace) was behind her family’s accident and Ignus where Hari (Jared Harris), Gaal (Lou Llobell), and Salvor (Leah Harvey) meet Tellem Bond (Rachel House) who has created a haven for mentallics. This makes Hari an outlier and makes his goal of creating the Second Foundation more difficult.

There were several big revelations in Episode 5 and a lot of forward momentum. This week we don’t get any Brother Constant (Isabella Laughland), Poly Verisof (Kulvinder Ghir), Hober Mallow (Dimitri Leonidas), or Bel Riose (Ben Daniels), but it helps the show focus on the other stories and deliver another fine episode.

Gaal, Salvor and Hari arrive on Ignis and meet the source of the strange signal they’ve been tracking. Dawn and Dusk are suspicious of Day.
