'Lenin (in the Court of God)', '(لینن ( خدا کے حضور میں' is a short poem by Allama Iqbal, which he has written from the perspective of Vladimir Lenin (Russian revolutionary, politician, and political theorist), imagining him to be present in the court of God. The piece is followed by two more poems, 'Song of the Angels', 'فرشتوں کاگیت' and 'God's Command to His Angels', 'فرمانِ خدا (فرشتوں سے)', creating a trilogy which touches upon aspects of communism and Marxism, countered by the perspective of Islam.
In this talk, Salman Asif Siddiqui explains the poem, it's historical context as well as its current relevance for Muslims. This video is a must watch for people who are interested in poetry, history, and different sociological perspectives, as all of these matters are discussed in this poem and its explanation.
