Stacey Abrams made headlines in 2018 when she narrowly lost her bid for governor of Georgia. Now, she has taken her loss and transformed it into Fair Fight 2020, a national movement fighting for voting rights and against voter suppression. Abrams was inspired throughout her life by her passionate, nerdy love of all things sci-fi, especially the science fiction staple Star Trek. From Star Trek The Original Series and the adventures of Captain Kirk, to Star Trek The Next Generation and its amazing cast of characters like Data, Riker, and Captain Picard played by Patrick Stewart. Abrams is also a major fan of Star Trek Voyager, and holds Captain Janeway in high regard as a role model.

In this Stacey Abrams interview, we talked to Leader Abrams about all things Trek, from current shows like Star Trek Discovery to the upcoming Star Trek Picard.
