2 Corinthians 9:6-8, 6 But this I say: He who sows sparingly will also reap sparingly, and he who sows bountifully will also reap bountifully. 7 So let each one give as he purposes in his heart, not grudgingly or of necessity; for God loves a cheerful giver. 8 And God is able to make all grace abound toward you, that you, always having all sufficiency in all things, may have an abundance for every good work.

Luke 5:17-19, Now it happened on a certain day, as He was teaching, that there were Pharisees and teachers of the law sitting by, who had come out of every town of Galilee, Judea, and Jerusalem. And the power of the Lord was present to heal them. 18 Then behold, men brought on a bed a man who was paralyzed, whom they sought to bring in and lay before Him. 19 And when they could not find how they might bring him in, because of the crowd, they went up on the housetop and let him down with his bed through the tiling into the midst before Jesus.

God gets involved with our giving and our receiving when we get connected with His heart and His agenda. At Embrace Church here is what we sense is on God’s heart for us to give. We have carved out a space and place in the downtown core so that every Sunday people can encounter God’s presence through prayer, worship, and the Word. At Embrace Kiwanis people are encountering God’s love every weekend. In our weekly Bible Study people are encountering God through the study of the Word and prayer. Through our partnership with AIA and Intervarsity Fellowship every week we are facilitating people encountering the truth about Jesus. Every week we host pastors from our city to gather and pray. In the prisons we are helping inmates encounter the loving presence of God through worship and the ministry of the Word. These are some of the ways we are gathering together to encounter Jesus and His healing presence. And when we consistently give in these ways God will make all grace abound toward us that we may give again.
