It probably snows once every few years here in Austin and other places in Central Texas. When it does snow it is not a lot. This video is from January 10, 2021 when we experienced the most snow we've even seen in our 15+ years living here. Normally it is extremely hot during the summer, and winter can get below freezing, by not by much. This winter has actually been very mild until the recent polar vortex reaching the Texas Hill Country. The upside was that our son had a lot of fun throwing snow balls and helping to build his first ever snowman.
