This is how we find meteorites in the forests of Northern Sweden using a metal detector. We are meteorite hunting the Muonionalusta strewn field in the forests of Lapland. The muonionalusta meteorite is an iron-nickel meteorite that came down roughly a million years ago. It disintegrated in the sky and rained down over a wide 15x25 km strewn field area. We are looking for meteorites using a wide range of metal detectors and digging deep holes in the forest looking for valuable meteorite space rock. The meteorite we are searching is in Sweden very close to the border to Finland, near the village of kitkiöjärvi. Gold mask deep detector, minelab and garrett detectors are used for hunting meteorites.
