The Volkswagen ID.4 is the second car to be sold by Volkswagen with the "ID" electric nameplate. Somewhere between an SUV, and estate car and an MPV its definitely big and surprisingly affordable, available for around £35,000.

But, there are some compromises to reach that price, for example it has drum brakes on the rear, and a single button to control front and rear windows and more.

So is it worth the price? And is it the car to make you switch to an EV?
