Recorded entirely live to 2-track in his studio whilst in lockdown during the 2020 global pandemic, Saytek has imbued this collection of works with his ever-present sense of optimism and hope and spiced it with a rather more considered approach. It is a testament to our shared experience in the last 18 months and a tribute to all of those that still dance, even if it is in the confines of their own home.

It is a call to action to keep moving, keep connecting and to keep dancing. A clarion call to the never give up spirit that we all possess, if, at times, we need to dig deep to find it.

“Motifs from the New World” offers us all a sense of joy in the midst of upheaval and change. Perhaps it’s a reminder that all is changing and the world is always new.
