Named ‘one to watch’ by both Jazzwise and Jazz Yorkshire, Riley has won such awards as Dave Cooper Memorial Prize for Jazz Saxophone, the John Scheerer Prize for Woodwind and the David Hoult Prize for Outstanding Performance. In 2011, Riley was also chosen as one of 6 Yamaha Jazz Scholars as well as graduating from Jazz college with a first class honours.
