BIRTH VLOG 2021 || Raw + Real Labor and Delivery of Our First Baby During a Pandemic INDUCED BIRTH

Hi friends,

It's been almost 4 months since our sweet baby boy, Hudson Jade was born. It's taken me that long to edit and upload this video because I'm adjusting to my new role as a mom and time is very limited with a newborn! I wouldn't change a thing💗

This was truly one of the most incredible days of my life- even though initially I was so scared. Meeting my son for the first time was such a magical and indescribable feeling that filled me with pure love. I will never forget how I felt. In total amazement for what my body just did (labor and delivery is no joke) and pushing for 2 hours was intense and exhausting. In shock that this little human was inside my body for 9 months (you'll hear me say "oh my god" many times) ahha.

I had such a positive birth experience despite an induction initially not being part of "the plan". Thank you to the team at the IWK for your exceptional care for me and baby Hudson.

In my pregnancy videos, I talked about our baby's heart defect. Things looked a bit different during the echo after he was born, and our super strong, brave boy had surgery to fix his heart at 3 days old. We spent about 3 weeks in the hospital before finally coming home. Hudson is home, happy, healthy, and thriving! His heart is repaired, but we will always have cardiology checkups to monitor any changes.
