Every week “pangas” full of illicit products shuttle between Colombia and the United States. When they pass through Nicaraguan waters, they are chased by the Naval Forces. The traffickers about to be intercepted drop the bags in the open sea. The bundles regularly wash up on the deprived beaches of Sandy Bay. The arrival of the products, renamed “white lobster”, has changed the lives of the Mestizos in the region. "The White Lobster of Sandy Bay" is a film about the Naval Forces' hunt for traffickers and a complex social reality that threatens a region and its inhabitants.
