Exploration Starships are the bread and butter of Starfleet. These versatile ships can range from the nimble Jam Sandwich of the Intrepid class right up to the mighty Six-course Feast of a Galaxy class that is the USS Enterprise-D. However, some of these ships are rather costly to build in terms of resources. So, what if Starfleet and the Federation wanted a new starship to explore the galaxy but were a bit more cost-efficient at the same time, a Butterfinger, if you will? Well, this is where the Nova class comes into the equation, and the Food jokes stop because now I’ve made myself hungry, and it’s your fault.
