My Journey with YouTube started in 2021, when I started documenting life travels as a brand new Rv’er traveling across the country not knowing a thing about RVing or camping. Fast forward a few months to July of 2021 to when I received my 2021 Ford Bronco Outer Banks Non-Sasquatch. I integrated my Bronco into the channel and documented my build & crazy off-road adventures with my kids.

It was during one of daring off-road journeys that the phrase "Buckle Up Buttercup" was born, a reminder to my kids to secure themselves before Mom would get behind the wheel to send it. Naturally, we decided to name the Bronco "Buttercup," and thus, our channel, "Buckle Up Buttercup," came to life.

I pushed the capabilities of my non-sasquatch Outerbanks and did many things that most people didn’t think I could accomplish, much less with my Bronco. After attending the Bronco Off-roadeo in Nov 2021, I decided to put in an order for a more capable Bronco Badlands.

During my 18 months wait for the Badlands, aka Buttercup 2.0, I continued documenting my Bronco build and towing my RV across the country, doing crazy difficult trails with no lockers, and so much more in between. It’s pretty crazy to think that I built a channel based around my Bronco & life, but I wanted to do something even crazier, build a brand.

I put in countless hours of research, and was determined that the next goal to achieve was to branch out and start non only my own Bronco parts store & website, but start my own brand of Bronco products.

This was no easy feat, but I knew to my core that I wanted to do this. I have met many people in the automotive business which lead to some great opportunities of starting Buckle Up Off-Road. I wanted to build a website where every 6th gen bronco owner can go to and get everything for their Bronco build. I wanted to carry many different brands and types of product, along with carrying my enthusiast inspired line at affordable prices. So here I am almost 3 years into being a professional youtuber and a few months in of running a parts business. I was a stay at home and homeschooling mom for 15 years and now I do this. WOW

I not only wanted to make this video of giving you a summary of the channel and update on life. But I wanted to give a word of encouragement to everyone out there. If you have a dream, chase it…because it will never chase you. Let your doubt fuel your determination, because you only get one chance at making your life the way you want. If I, Krista, can do this. You can too. Single moms, married moms, exhausted moms, I see you! See in yourself what everyone else does, you're an amazing being, and for all the dudes out there, you're cool too and can accomplish your dreams too.
