I MET A TAUSUG FILIPINO IN ZAMBOANGA CITY, AND HE MAKES AN AWESOME BURNT COCONUT BEEF SOUP!

"Tiyula Itum", it is one of my all time favorite soups in the Philippines. And on a rainy day with my scooter in Zamboanga City... I was super happy to spot a eatery that served it! In fact, this was a Tausug eatery! The Tausug are a group of ethnic people who come from Sulu. Over the years I have become friends with many Tausugs...

And it was so heartwarming and inspiring sitting down for a black beef burnt coconut soup with Kah Ghamz here in Brgy Buenavista Zamboanga City.

In my opinion, this is one of the best soups in the Philippines...
