06.02.2023 - A59 near Cologne, Germany - Van collides with standing semi truck

On monday (06.02.2023), the 37 year old driver of a Renault Master collided with the trailer of a semi truck at the end of a traffic jam. The accident happened on die A59 near Cologne, Germany. Fire fighters had to use hydraulic tools to free the driver. He was rushed with life threatening injuries to a hospital. The driver of the truck was not injured, his co driver was shocked and transported also into a hospital.
After the police investigation, the truck was able to drive by itself to a local service station. The destroyed Renault was towed by a recovery company.
