This video I light some tread plate on fire that contains magnesium. This isn't your standard tread plate it is some kind of (I think) Aluminium/magnesium alloy. First I show that a small pile of shavings can be lit with a ferrocerium rod/fire steel/metal match and it acts similar to shavings from a magnesium block just not quite as well. Then I decide to try light the whole thing on fire.
Not my normal kind of video but it was a good bit of fun I wanted to share.
